Scenario:
Pakistan is a developing country which is lagging behind other countries due to many reasons. Energy
crisis has become one of the major hurdles in development of the country. Many factories and industries
are suffering due to load shedding problem. Load shedding, both at domestic and commercial level, has
affected the national economy badly at a very large scale. Business community of Pakistan claimed that
energy short fall has become a major cause of financial loss for them. The need of the hour is to address
this issue on priority basis.
In order to solve the issue, government formulated a special committee for monitoring the performance
of electricity supplying corporations; ultimate purpose of the formation of the committee was to come
up with some rational solutions. Committee suggested different alternatives such as construction of
dams, hydra and thermal energy power plants but all these mega projects need many years to produce
electricity. After a long discussion committee decided to shut down the shops, marriage halls and
restaurants at 9pm, 10pm and 11pm respectively. It was also suggested that production of efficient
electrical appliances consuming less electricity would be encouraged. Prime Minister of Pakistan ordered
immediate implementation of suggested energy efficient plans. Meanwhile government will work on
discussed mega projects in order to meet the growing demand of electricity.
Recognizing the Need for Planning
Energy crisis is the need of our country and necessary for progress so there is need to planning
Determining the objectives;
Objectives specify expected results and indicate end point of what is to be done
Provide energy to all over Pakistan
Try to establish industry area where energy short fall not happens
Forecasting the future;
Forecasting is based on certain assumptions about the future in which the plan is to be carried out.
The basis of forecasting is the understanding of markets, the prices? What services needs to be
provided? What technological change there will be? What population changes will there be?
If energy shortage become good than our future can be bright and our industry give us money to give
loan to America
Determining alternatives

Evaluating Alternatives
Each alternative is evaluated or examined in terms of cost and benefits. One course of action may have
large investment and little benefits in the short run. Other alternative may be risky and have more
benefits/profits

Alternative may be risky
Selecting a course of action
At this point the decision has to be taken to adopt an alternative from the various alternatives. The
choice could be to pick one or more than one alternatives, depending on the emphasis on objectives to
be achieved and the cost. At this stage the plans are made part of the budget. Budgets become means of
tying up the plans.
Government decide to do they can do possible like solar panel, start different projects with the sharing
with China or Turkey.
Implementing Plan
Implementation of a plan is the most crucial aspect. The implementation determines whether the plan
was able to achieve the objectives or not. All these action which we decide can give us any benefit
